Work Holding Fixture

US Patent:
6572092, Jun 3, 2003
Filed:
Apr 4, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/825900
Inventors:
Daniel J. DuVernay - Cottrellville MI
Brad L. Siemen - Port Huron MI
Assignee:
Autocraft Tool Die - Algonac MI
International Classification:
B25B 122
US Classification:
269 71, 269 17, 269296
Abstract:
A work holding fixture includes a support frame having a first and a second side member. The first and second side members are connected by a connecting member. Fixed to the first side member is a fixture brake, with a shaft rotatably mounted relative to the first side member. A brake barrel assembly is mounted to one of the first and second side members. The brake barrel assembly has a barrel portion fixed to one of the first and second side members, and has a backing plate rotatably mounted to the one of the first and second members, and is in axial alignment with the fixture brake shaft. The backing plate has a feature which slidably receives a first bracket. The first bracket is configured for attachment to a work piece received by the backing plate. A tail stock assembly, with a drum portion and a bracket guide, is rigidly mounted to the other of the first and second side members. The tail stock assembly slidably receives a second bracket.

Exercise Device For Leg Exercises

US Patent:
6849035, Feb 1, 2005
Filed:
Jan 31, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/066020
Inventors:
Daniel J. Duvernay - Marine City MI, US
David J. Itrich - Marine City MI, US
International Classification:
A63B 6916
US Classification:
482 60
Abstract:
An exercise device for leg exercises comprising a pair of foot pedals connected to actuation rods. While an operator is in a seated position, the operator uses their foot to apply pressure to the foot pedals so that the rod telescopes into and out of a bearing block in response to the applied pressure. A crossbar, elevated off ground by a pair of arched base bars, supports the bearing block for the telescoping oscillations.

Exercise Device

Abstract:
An exercise device for lower and upper body exercising. The exercise device is configured for lower and upper body exercising. The exercise device includes a pair of connecting rods. The connecting rods are movable and restrained by a resistance element for exercising.

Work Fixture Brake

US Patent:
56927380, Dec 2, 1997
Filed:
Apr 29, 1996
Appl. No.:
8/639657
Inventors:
Daniel J. DuVernay - Algonac MI
Brad L. Sieman - Goodells MI
Assignee:
Auto-Craft Tool & Die - Algonac MI
International Classification:
B23Q 125
US Classification:
269 82
Abstract:
A work fixture brake includes a first block and a second block and a brake disc. The first block has a first axis of rotation passing therethrough and a first friction pad fixed thereto. The second block is axially juxtaposed the first block and is pivotably connected thereto at a second axis of rotation offset from the first axis of rotation. A second friction pad is rotatively fixed to the second block. A brake disc has a first side facing the first friction pad and an oppositely disposed second side facing the second friction pad. The brake disc is approximately centered on the first axis of rotations. Means for axially separating the first block from the second block are disposed therebetween. The means are responsive to a rotative force against the second block in a direction which would induce rotation about the first axis of rotation. The means thereby axially separates the first friction pad and the second friction pad, in turn releasing the brake disc.
