The head gear assembly includes an air movement assembly and a face shield mount. The face shield mount removably attaches a face shield to the head gear assembly, and the face shield is attached to the surgical garment. The surgical protective assembly also includes a head securing apparatus having a head band and an adjustment device. The adjustment device has a plurality of arms, each of which is movably coupled to a different portion of the head band. The surgical protective system and assembly provides users with enhanced functionality, comfort and ease of operation.
