US Patent:
7748262, Jul 6, 2010
Filed:
Oct 9, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/248227
Inventors:
Alberto Nerida Reginaldo - Orchard Lake MI, US
Linda Celina Ward - Oakland Township MI, US
Richard Gene Lowhorn - Belleville MI, US
Matthew Noppenberger - Holly MI, US
Assignee:
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. - Erlanger KY
International Classification:
G01M 15/00
G01M 19/00
G01F 1/00
US Classification:
7311468, 7311477, 7311601, 73861, 123 4101
Abstract:
A coolant flow measurement device includes a coolant flow circuit, a cooling system, a purge system, a variable speed fluid pump, a differential pressure gage and a primary flow meter. The coolant flow circuit may be attached to a an HVAC system of the vehicle such that coolant may be circulated through the HVAC system of the vehicle. The cooling system may cool the coolant in the coolant flow circuit. The purge system may be used to purge air from the coolant flow circuit. The variable speed fluid pump may be operable to balance the fluid pressure between the device inlet and the device outlet. The primary flow meter may be operable to measure the coolant flow in the coolant flow circuit. The differential pressure gage measures a pressure differential between the device inlet and the device outlet.

Noise-Vibration Microphone Stand

US Patent:
8477982, Jul 2, 2013
Filed:
Jan 3, 2011
Appl. No.:
12/983602
Inventors:
Alberto N. Reginaldo - Orchard Lake MI, US
Assignee:
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. - Erlanger KY
International Classification:
H04R 9/08
H04R 11/04
US Classification:
381368, 381363
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a noise-vibration (NV) microphone stand for holding an NV microphone a predetermined distance from a surface that the NV microphone stand is attached to. The NV microphone stand can include a rod having an attachment end that is operable to attach to the surface to be tested and with the rod extending away from the surface. In addition, an arm can be attached to and extend from the rod, the arm having an NV microphone bracket spaced apart from the rod. The NV microphone bracket can have an opening that is dimensioned for the NV microphone to slide therewithin, the opening having a plurality of friction wiper blades that come into contact with the NV microphone when it slides within the bracket.

Anti-Leak Adaptor For Use In A Vehicle Air Conditioning System Test

US Patent:
20080061259, Mar 13, 2008
Filed:
Sep 8, 2006
Appl. No.:
11/530044
Inventors:
ALBERTO N. REGINALDO - Orchard Lake MI, US
Assignee:
Toyota Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. - Erlanger KY
International Classification:
F16L 29/00
US Classification:
251148
Abstract:
An anti-leak adaptor for use in a vehicle during an air conditioning system evaluation includes a cylindrically shaped adaptor body having a first end and a second end. A central passageway extends between an opening in the first end to an opening in the second end. The first end includes a guide portion and a threaded portion that is adjacent the guide portion. A knob is positioned on a mid-portion of the adaptor body, and the knob is operatively connected to a plunger disposed within the central passageway in the adaptor body and oriented longitudinally towards the opening in the first end. A fitting is connected to the second end of the adaptor body for receiving a sensing means.
